Expeditions Room
The Auditorium also houses a permanent collection dedicated to Thor Heyerdahl and his expeditions. The first part, entitled Thor Heyerdahl: the man, the myth, is a visual voyage through the life and works of the famous Norwegian anthropologist. Following, in the Expeditions Room, there are replicas of the four boats on which Heyerdahl crossed the main oceans of the planet: Kon-Tiki (Pacific Ocean; 1947), Ra & Ra II (Atlantic Ocean; 1969 ¬ 1970), and Tigris (Indian Ocean; 1977/78).
