Bird Path: A journey through Canarian biodiversity
Discover the fascinating world of birds at the Ethnographic Park and Botanical Garden Pirámides de Güímar!
The Bird Path is a new nature experience suitable for visitors of all ages. This themed route allows you to explore the main ecosystems of the Canary Islands, learn about their most representative bird species, and understand the close connection between the archipelago’s endemic flora and its diverse avifauna.
Along the path, you’ll discover Tenerife’s most characteristic habitats —Tabaibal-Cardonal, Monteverde, Canarian Pine Forests, and Palm Groves— as well as an area dedicated to Migratory routes.
The Canary Islands are a genuine sanctuary for avian biodiversity, home to more than 90 nesting species and several endemics, such as the Blue Chaffinch, the Laurel Pigeon, and the Bolles’s Pigeon. This trail offers the opportunity to observe these species in their natural environment, discover their unique behaviors, and appreciate the importance of conserving island ecosystems in the face of threats such as habitat loss and climate change.
The Bird Path blends learning, discovery, and environmental awareness, inviting visitors to discover how every plant and bird plays a vital role in the natural balance we must protect.
An experience to enjoy with family, as a couple, or with friends —where observation turns into an adventure that inspires curiosity and nurtures respect for nature.
