Meticulously built by the Aymaras, identical to the one Thor Heyerdahl used to cross the Atlantic in 1970, it prepares you to discover the great explorer of the 20th century. If you have a passion for adventure, sailing and unconventional travel, don’t miss in the auditorium his life and work, full of commitment and authenticity.

The EXPEDITIONS room

In this special area, dedicated to Heyerdahl’s transoceanic expeditions, you will find faithful replicas of the reed and wooden boats used in the epic voyages through the Pacific Ocean (Kon Tiki, 1947), Atlantic (Ra II, 1970) and Indian Ocean (Tigris, 1977/78). Feel the bravery and determination that led the explorer to embark on such adventures.
